G.Pulla Reddy Engineering College, the pride of Kurnool city, is the brainchild of Late Sri G.Pulla Reddy, (popularly known as Sweets Pulla Reddy in A.P.) the renowned philanthropist and a great humanist. Established in 1984-85, it is one of the earliest private engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh state. It is managed by G Pulla Reddy Charities Trust, Hyderabad. The trust was instituted by Sri. G Pulla Reddy garu in 1975 with the motto of rendering service to the society. GPREC has been functioning as an autonomous institution since 2006. College received permanent affiliation from JNTUA, Anantapuramu. Accredited by NAAC ( A+) of UGC and NBA of AICTE, New Delhi.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 1991 with an intake of 30. Over the years it has grown by leaps and bounds and presently offers B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering course with a sanctioned intake of 180 students. The department is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for three times. The department also offers a P.G course in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 18. The department is recognized as a research centre by JNTUA to offer doctoral program in CSE department. Dept. is having MoU with IBM and also recognized as CISCO networking academy.
No registration fee is charged for the program, since the program is fully sponsored by AICTE, New Delhi.

Academicians: Lecturers and Professors in any discipline from the engineering colleges who have had some basic knowledge on Python. The techniques will expose them to a completely new world of research.
Best two participants will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 4000 and 3000/- respectively and a certificate of performance. Awardees would be selected based on their performance in the FDP.
