Electrical and Electronics Engineering

 

The department of EEE was established in 1994 with the aim of importing high quality technical education in the area of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with an intake of 60. The intake was increased to 120 from 2008 and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur.
The department is headed by Dr. T. Bramhananda Reddy. The department has a strong pool of faculty with 3 Ph.D.’s 13 M.Tech.’s, 1 M.Sc and 2 B.Tech.’s. It boasts of having highly qualified faculty with an unparalleled level of expertise in their field. The pure expertise and dedication of the faculty members along with infrastructural facilities coupled with perseverance of the students have catapulted the branch to the top league. Break up of teaching staff is 2 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 1 Senior Assistant Professor and 13 Assistant Professors.
The Department is offering one Post Graduate Program with the specialization in Power Electronics with an intake of 18. Active research is going on in the areas of Power Systems, Power Electronics & Drives and Control Systems.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

 

The Programme Educational objectives (PEOs) of the under graduate programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College (Autonomous), Kurnool are to prepare graduates to possess the ability to

    P1. Apply a broad, fundamental based knowledge, and up-to-date skills required in performing professional work in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and related disciplines, 
    P2. Design works pertaining to Electrical and Electronics Engineering, incorporating the use of design standards, realistic constraints and consideration of the economic, environmental and social impact of the design, 
    P3. Use modern computer software tools to solve Electrical and Electronics Engineering problems and explain and defend their solutions and communicate effectively using graphic, verbal and written techniques to all audiencies, and 
    P4. Pursue a career in a private or governmental organization as a leader or enter graduate programs in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and related disciplines and to pursue lifelong learning and research.
