Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering Department was started at the time of inception of the college in 1985, is now offering B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech. Programme in ‘Thermal Sciences & Energy systems’ and ‘CAD/CAM’.

Mechanical Engg. is a very broad field that provides opportunities for interesting and challenging work in every phase of modern technology. The curriculum is so designed to give the students a thorough knowledge in the fundamental principles of Engg. & Science. The department is equipped with state of art resources to enrich the knowledge and ensure high quality education to the students. Well equipped laboratories, Balanced curriculum, Dedicated faculty, Practical hands on experience contribute to the evermore pressing needs of the industry. Department developed the necessary infrastructure for undergraduate and graduate courses. Now the department is concentrating on research and development and industry - institute interaction.

We have latest softwares like PLM, AUTOCAD, ANSYS, CATIA, CADIAN, MECHANICAL DESKTOP, INVENTOR, ESPRIT CAM, and MASTER CAM. We have two CNC machines in CAM lab.

To develop the department into a model center of education and research in the field of Mechanical Engineering and allied areas and to contribute to the development of industry and society.

Mechanical Engineering Department strives to transform its students into Confident, Professionally Sound and Socially Responsible Engineers who can meet the challenges of advancing technology and work for the betterment of mankind.
