NASHA MUKT COMMITTEE (NMC)

As per the instructions issued by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment (DoSJE), under    D.O. No. DP 17 12O23-DP-\, it is hereby proposed to establish Nasha Mukt Committee (NMC) in the college. The primary objective of this committee is to ensure a drug-free environment within the institution. The committee will be responsible for the prohibition and strict enforcement against the consumption and possession of drugs and alcohol by students, both within and outside the campus, including hostel premises.

The Nasha Mukt Committee is constituted with the following Members:

Student members: Two students (one girl and one boy) each from 2^nd, 3^rd & 4^th year B. Tech will be nominated every year

Objective: To create a safe and healthy educational environment, free from the influence of drugs.

Functions:

1. To conduct Awareness Programs like Workshops, Guest Lectures, campaigns etc to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse and its legal implications.

2. To provide counseling and Establish peer support groups where students can share their experiences and support each other.

3. To Collaborate and work with local law enforcement, health institutions and NGOs to handle situations related to drug abuse.
