PRINCIPAL

Dr.B.Sreenivasa Reddy received his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad in 1998. After obtaining masters degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, he joined the faculty of Mechanical Engineering of GPREC 1989 and has been serving the institute since then. He headed the department of Mechanical Engineering as a professor from 2000 and 2007. He served the institute as Dean, Academics and Administration from 2006 to 2007. He took over as the Principal of the college after Dr.Jaya Rami Reddy became the Director of the college in 2007.
Dr.Sreenivas Reddy is known to be a hard task master and represents the youthful exuberance of the institution. Groomed and nurtured by Dr. Jaya Rami Reddy, he has been working hard to take the institute to new heights.
Dr. Sreenivasa Reddy’s teaching and research interests lie in the areas of thermodynamics, energy power and heat transfer. He has published more than 30 research papers in several national and international journals and conferences and has guided 4 M.Tech and 3 Ph.Ds

VICE PRINCIPAL

Dr. Veerabhadra Reddy Basam received his M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, in 2000 and 2009 respectively. He is currently serving as a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College (Autonomous), Kurnool, and has over 26 years of experience spanning teaching, research, and industry.

Dr. Reddy has published more than 40 research papers in national and international journals and conferences. He has guided numerous student projects at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, and has also filed two patents. He is a member of professional bodies including the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), the Society for Sciences, and the Combustion Institute (India).

He has served as a member of the Governing Council, Academic Council, and Board of Studies at G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College. Over the past 15 years, he has led several key institutional initiatives related to Alumni Affairs, Corporate Relations, Placements, Internships, Industrial Training, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship development. He currently holds the position of Vice-Principal at the institution.

In addition to his academic and administrative responsibilities, Dr. Reddy has actively contributed to student training and development, with a strong focus on enhancing employability, promoting higher education, and encouraging entrepreneurship among students. His efforts in student development have been recognized and appreciated by organizations such as Infosys.

Dr. Reddy also served as the President of the Andhra Pradesh Placement Officers’ Consortium for two years. He is actively involved in several non-profit organizations engaged in community and social service.
